Sliced white bread the way it was intended. Originally crafted for a dear 93-year old neighbour who loves a good and proper sandwich, Mick's Loaf is sourdough in its softest form. Enriched with just a spoonful of sugar and splash of EVOO, this uniform rectangular loaf has a tender, soft and pliable crumb. Baked in a traditional tin pan, it produces clean and neat slices perfect for lunchboxes, eggy bread or just a good old slice of toast.
Layer securely with favoured sandwich fillings (Mick's favourite is homegrown cucumber and butter). Toast and top with butter and marmalade. Pulse dry slices and throw into stuffing.
Storage: Best eaten within four days of purchase. Protect from moisture by storing in bread bin in zip lock bag or foil. For longer term storage, freeze pre-sliced. Approx. 18 slices per loaf.
